What is the difference between an endowment and a donation?
The capital of the foundation may not be diminished and ensures reteurns on a permanent basis. The foundation can funds its work using revenue resulting from the investment of the fondation capital. It is the foundation capital which thus makes the long-term work of the foundation possible.
Donations, on the other hand, must be used in the short term for the work specified in the foundation statures.
